Should you be forced to wear pink for Breast Cancer awareness?

You don't have to physically wear pink to support an idea or movement. People should be allowed to contribute to eliminating breast cancer anyway they choose. Yes wearing pink allows for more awareness because people now know pink and the pink ribbon are internationally in regards to breast cancer. I have never worn pink head to toe or had a ribbon, but I support breast cancer research and awareness. 1 year ago Greatly put. At work, I refused to wear pink, the supervisors didn't like that.

Is mastectomy really necessary for a stage 2 breast cancer patient? Is there any other alternatives?

- Chosen by Voters The decision is your mother's but I would opt for the surgery. She could possibly discuss the option af a lumpectomy with her oncologist, this may be a viable alternative in her case.I would be wanting scientific proof before I put my trust in herbal remedies, either that or be at a point where Dr's are saying there is nothing further they can do.I have yet to hear anything other than anecdotal evidence for herbal cures. If she goes down the herbal remedy track she may find that by the time she gives up on this and returns to the oncologist they are unagle to treat the spread of her cancer.Chances of recovery after mastectomy are high, if treatment starts early. Breast Cancer…?

- Chosen by Voters I too am assuming that you are in your teens, probably your early teens, by the way you write. If you are, then your chances of having breast cancer are so small as to be almost zero. 80% of people diagnosed with it are over 50; women in their 20s and 30s account for only 5% of those diagnosed, and it is EXTREMELY rare in a teenager. What you describe are not, in any case, breast cancer symptoms. Your breasts are growing and developing, and some of the changes you notice are going to be a little uncomfortable. What you describe is normal.Try to overcome your embarrassment – there really is no need for it – and talk to your mother or your school nurse about this so that they can reassure you Source(s): have had breast cancer 4 years ago 100% 2 Votes

What Should My Thesis Statement Be for My Speech on Breast Cancer in the US?

- Chosen by Voters It really depends on the content of your thesis, and how you want to present it, as to how you wish to form the Statement. As a factual statement, as a statistical document or as a wakeup call. Having presented many lectures in my time, you would have to limit your ideas in accordance with the type of audience that you expect to present your speech to. Health professionals would expect a different presentation than members of the general public. I would make a few points on the subject – Breast cancer affects one in eight women during their lives. Breast cancer kills more women in the United States than any cancer except lung cancer. No one knows why some women get breast cancer, but there a number of risk factors. Risks that you cannot change include+++++++etc.Other risks, which you can change, include being overweight, using hormone replacement therapy, taking birth control pills, drinking alcohol, not having children or having your first child after age 35 or having dense breasts+++++etc. If all you intend to include are symptoms, risk factors and treatment, then your task will be much easier than if you intended to include with the treatment, symptoms and risk factors, details of the tests, diagnosis and causes. If you are a health professional, you might gain some information on the format of lectures on this subject from your medical library, if you are not in the medical profession, help might be gained from the reference department in your local public library. I regret that it is almost impossible to advise you in this matter. Mainly due to the lack of detail and the discussion that would be needed to ascertain all the facts in order to arrive at a specific answer.Hope this helpsmatador 89 4 years ago 100% 1 Vote

How to make punnet square if the mother died with breast cancer and the father with rectal cancer?

- Chosen by Voters The Punnett square technique is useful in solving simple genetics problems. While cancer does appear to have a genetic component, it isn't that easy to find out exactly your chances of getting cancer – there are just way too many variables such as your lifestyle and environment. However, if your parents died of cancer, your chances of getting it are higher. You could do an actual genetic test, but I'm sure those are quite expensive and not 100% accurate.
