- Chosen by Voters false. It is more common. 90% of the males will develope prostate problems by the age of 80. The good thing about prostate cancer is that it is slow growing. you can have it for years and not be aware of it. Even after it is diagnosed the treatment is rarely immediate. It was several months with no spreading between the time I was initially diagnosed and surgery took place. 5 months to be exact. 4 years ago 100% 1 Vote 1 person rated this as good
Alarming to note that in 2004, the Philippines has the highest incidence of breast cancer in Asia second to India. Most breast cancer cases in the Philippines present at advanced stages and have a rapid unfavorable outcome. However all cancer patients do not have a death sentence, there is always hope. With her being so young, her system is strong and that will work in her favor. The most important right now is her treatment. I found these links that may be of some help.http://www.pbcn.org/http://www.annieappleseedproject.org/2nd…http://www.filipinolinks.com/Health_and_… 4 years ago thank u both for ur answers and links.. unfortunately because she is in the philippines its not looking good for her but i still have hope… again thank u both.. i chose this answer as it is more focused on the philippines
- Chosen by Voters Getting your period before age 12 DOES NOT cause cancer. But since your aunts had it, yes your risk is higher. That doesn't mean you will get it. Don't worry. Just discuss this with your doctor. It is something that you should keep an eye on. And I cannot stress the importance of self breast exams enough!! Hope this helps. 2 weeks ago 100% 2 Votes
SymptomsGenerally, early breast cancer does not cause pain. Even so, a woman should see her health care provider about breast pain or any other symptom that does not go away.Common symptoms of breast cancer include: * A change in how the breast or nipple feels You may experience nipple tenderness or notice a lump or thickening in or near the breast or in the underarm area. * A change in how the breast or nipple looks This could mean a change in the size or shape of the breast or a nipple that is turned slightly inward. In addition, the skin of the breast, areola or nipple may appear scaly, red or swollen or may have ridges or pitting that resembles the skin of an orange. * Nipple discharge Go to your doctor just incase!! Hope this helps! Source(s): http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org 4 years ago thanks this really helped and the rest of u helped me to
- Chosen by Voters It's rare, but does happen. My doctor actually just told me of a 19 year old who she treated that died from breast cancer. She had found a lump, and ignored it for so long because she figured she was invincable. When she finally went to seek help, it was too late, and she passed away some time later. Breast cancer has a VERY high survival rate- one of the highest of all cancers actually. The key is EARLY detection. Women must be pro-active! 3 years ago 100% 1 Vote 1 person rated this as good
- Chosen by Voters It is unlikely you would see the lump, but if it is large you may feel it.It is rarely painfull unless well advanced. The only way to know if it is cancer is to have testing done. Most lumps that are tested (80%) are not cancer. 2 weeks ago 100% 2 Votes
